I found your blog while searching for dough proofing boxes! The article you wrote about your day with Andrea Mugnaini was great. On a visit wine country a few years ago, I was introduced to the wood fired oven at a wine tasting at Richard Partridges’ home in Napa. The next year I built an oven in my backyard! A much bigger job than I ever anticipated. I use Andrea’s cookbook constantly. I look forward to reading your blog!
Hi Elizabeth – Fun that you should find my post about the pizza oven now. We are on our yearly trek to California to our house with the pizza oven. I just took the “Advanced Pizza Intensive” at this restaurant Delancy in Seattle – which wasn’t so super intensive actually. It’s hard to beat Andrea’s class – she’s so knowledgeable and passionate about her work it’s tough to compete. I’d love to know what you cook in your oven. I have access to mine for one two week session a year and it’s very hard for me to move away from pizza. Maybe we’ll do chicken under a brick…
